Kathy suffered 2 major strokes over a 10-year period before succumbing to stroke-related complications. Together with her strong will to recover and her excellent Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapists, she was able to regain the ability to walk, swallow, and speak. Kathy truly believed in helping others and believed in the practice of paying it forward. Kathy, a dedicated educator and lover of flowers, will live on in the spirit of altruism to ensure others like her receive the care they need.

Equipment
The BalanceTutor is a state-of-the-art 4D perturbation treadmill designed to improve balance and gait by safely simulating real-life instability in a controlled environment. It features advanced force and motion sensors, combined with engaging, customizable video games to motivate users during therapy. The treadmill moves in both medial/lateral and forward/backward directions to accurately replicate slips, trips, and other balance disruptions—supporting recovery post-surgery, post-ACL injury, post-stroke, Parkinsons, and helping to prevent falls.
